Architectural Application: Stainless Steel Feature Walls

The stainless steel feature wall offers softness in natural tone combined with a tough wearing surface that's aesthetically pleasing, while providing a highly hygienic surface. The many patterns and varied surface finishing techniques offer a wide choice to the user for preferred appearance.

The use of stainless steel sheet allows the user greater choice in the wall covering finish. Finishes can be any of the products listed on this site, including chrome-like mirror no. 8, patterned, deco and rigidized sheets. Colour can also be applied and linishing off can be conducted where required.

Industrial Application – Stainless Steel in Material Handling

Rigid textured stainless steel lends itself to use in material handling. The principal reason is the effect of the pattern (indentations) on the sheets has compared to flat metals. With less contact to material being handled, there is less friction and static cling is also greatly reduced–to help end machine jams and downtime. With the use of textured stainless steel, the user gets faster movement through chutes and conveyors.

This type of stainless steel sheet is ideal for use not only in conveyors, but also packaging machinery, food processing equipment and other material handling applications.

In food processing applications, the ability to preserve the purity of food, the ease of cleaning and its durability even in many aggressive environments are strong considerations that make stainless steel ideal for use in this industry. Marine grade stainless steel are especially ideal in areas where chlorides (salt forms) are present.
